A story that our family often talk about is before I was born but is a typical example of my Nan standing up for her family & being very straight My Uncle Peter came running into my Nans to say that the lady in banks fruit shop had been calling my Grandad a name outside the shop, she got all the kids coats on & waked down to the shop mrs Banks seen her coming & Locked the shop she said in choice words , " Hey you don't be calling my husband you want to look at your own & I tell you what you need to do you dirty C** get those filthy nails cleaned , your that tight you would cut a potato in half to get the weight " at the time I know my aunties were mortified even embarrassed but now we think of it and laugh just how much front she had I love it & love this story xx
